	Farquhar's song in the Beaux's Stratagem, beginning— " A trifling song you shall hear, Begun with a trifle and ended; All trifling people draw near, And I shall be nobly attended," was written to this tune, and is printed to it in The Musical Companion, or Lady's Magazine, 8vo., 1741. " The praise of St. David's day: shewing the reason why the Welshmen honour the leek on that day." Beginning— " Who list to read the deeds By valiant Welshmen done," &c, is also to the tune, under the name of When this old cap was neio. The following is the ballad of "Ragged and torn, and true; or The Poor Man's Resolution," set to the tune as it is found in The Dancing Master, and other violin copies, but omitting the variations.
